Traffic: Heavy Hauling Operation Passing Through MoCo on March 25 and 26th

Updated at 12:18pm to include the route of the transformer.

Per an e-Mail from Montgomery County Department of Transportation:

A transformer is set to be delivered to the Quince
Orchard Substation on Saturday, March 26, 2022. The transformer will begin the journey in Washington, D.C. on Friday, March 25, and will travel through Montgomery County on both state and county roads.

Motorists should use caution as the vehicle carrying the transformer will be traveling at very low speeds (4 to 6 mph).

The Quince Orchard Substation is an electrical substation located at 17101 Germantown Rd.

MCDOT has released the route of the transformer. It can be seen below:
