Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services (formerly DLC) will be holding several sets of lotteries for residents and licensees to purchase highly sought after distilled spirits from April 3-9. Lottery entries will be accepted starting at noon on April 3  until 11:59 PM on April 9, according to ABS.

“To more equitably distribute that are in high demand, we have developed a lottery process for our most popular, hard to find spirits products.”


Clarksburg

David A. Blair, 27, of Clarksburg, plead guilty today to a felony count of civil disorder related to his participation in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

According to a report by WMAR Baltimore, Blair attached a confederate flag to a lacrosse stick and used it to assault an officer in the chest.


Olney

Back in November we let you know that Quickway Japanese Hibachi would be moving in to the location that was formerly home to Fashion Cleaners in the Shoppes of Olney shopping center, between CVS and Bubbles Hair Salon.

A couple weeks back Quickway installed permanent signage and construction was ongoing, but today the fast casual restaurant was receiving food deliveries. When asked about an opening timeframe, a person working at the location said “very soon.”


MoCo Police

On Friday, March 25, the Montgomery County Police Department team participated in the annual Special Olympics Maryland Police Plunge. The event takes place each year at Sandy Point State Park on the Chesapeake Bay.

According to organizers, the first Police Plunge took place in 2012 and raised over $100,000. Since then, agencies have raised over $2 million dollars. Learn more at www.plungemd.com
