The Cosmetology students will be opening the Edison Salon (12501 Dalewood Dr. Silver Spring MD 20906) on Wednesday, December 6 to hold a SkillsUSA fundraiser. From 8:30am until 8:30pm, the student operated salon will offer limited services for $20 each, such as:

At States, they will compete with other counties in the state of MD. The top for each competition will move on to Nationals and represent the State of MD in that competition. We have students competing for Cosmetology (hair), Esthetics, Nails, Barbering, Action Skills, Customer Service and Extemporaneous Speech”, Garcia tells us. “Think of this as the Olympics for Career and Technology Education.
