Town Square Jewelers to Close Due to “Recurring Crime and Burglaries”


Town Square Jewelers at 100 Gibbs St Unit E in Rockville has announced it will be closing on December 23, 2023.

The store recently posted the following message on its front door: “STORE CLOSING FOREVER: After 17 years here and recurring crime/burglaries we are closing. Everything is on sale. We are here M-Sat 10-3pm until Dec 23, 2023. Many thanks to all our loyal customers over the years. We love you all.”

This past April, we reported that “Rockville City Police responded to the 100 block of Gibbs Street for the report of a burglary of a jewelry store. Officers discovered the front window had been broken out, numerous jewelry cases were smashed, and a high dollar value of items were taken.”

Time Square Jewelers offers gold, diamonds, silver, precious stones, designer/custom-made jewelry, and watches.
