Beloved Local Barber Peter Kim Has Sold Burtonsville Barbershop; Will Retire at the End of This Month

Peter Kim is a licensed master barber who has owned Burtonsville barbershop since 1994. He has also been described as “the nicest man in Burtonsville” by Burtonsville 2.0 admin Dave Golden- an honor many in the community agree with based on their interactions with Kim. He recently sold the shop and will be retiring at the end of the month.

Kim, who was born in South Korea, is a licensed master barber who has been cutting hair for 35 years. He has owned the Burtonsville Barbershop for nearly 30 years and has become a fixture in the Burtonsville community, loved by neighbors who have been getting their hair cut at his shop for decades.

The shop itself has been there for over 65 years and will continue to operate, as Kim recently sold the shop to William Eam in order to focus on his real estate career, which he has been working on Maryland, DC, and Virginia for the last 16 years. Kim will be at the shop until the end of the month for anyone who wants to stop by and wish him the best.
