Four Lanes Closed on Inner Loop of I-495 Monday Evening

Alert Montgomery has sent out notice of a severe traffic incident that is currently impacting I-495 at River Rd.

Severe Traffic Alert I495: Traffic incident closes 4 right lanes of Inner Loop I495 at River Rd. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.

MATOC has relayed the following information: “Tractor Trailer Crash. I-495 NB (Inner Loop) past MD-190 (Exit 39). Montgomery County, MD. 4 center lanes are blocked, 1 left lane and 2 right lanes get by. Delays are approximately 5.5 miles.”
