Free Narcan Training & Distribution Event Takes Place April 10


The Takoma Park Police Department and Montgomery College Takoma Park/ Silver Spring campus are hosting an  Opioid Awareness Narcan Training.

The Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue will be staged in the side lot of King Street with their COPE (Community Opioid Prevention Education) Trailer beginning at 5:30 PM.  Dr. Jonna Kirby will be the hostess and run the panel presentation made up of a TPPD officer, a student and a faculty member from the Nursing School. Former Mayor and current District 4 Councilmember Kate Stewart will present a 10-minute keynote speech. The training will follow the panel discussion, and Narcan will be distributed to the public at the end. Event Details below:
