Professional wrestler Scott Hall, known to many as “Razor Ramon” has passed away after suffering three heart attacks, stemming from a serious complication following hip surgery when a blood clot was dislodged.

Hall, whose father was in the military, moved around a lot when he was a child, but was born in St. Mary’s County in Maryland.

Popular Montgomery County Greek restaurant, Big Greek Cafe, is debuting a new crispy fish sandwich at all of its locations tomorrow (Tuesday, March 15).

Olney

Back in November we let you know that Kung Fu Tea signed on to take over the location that’s as recently home to Yogi Berry, next to Starbucks in the same shopping center as Cava Mezze, CVS, and Cafe Rio at 3128 Olney Sandy Spring Road.

The location will also offer TKK Fried Chicken and Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt. TKK Fried Chicken is a Taiwanese chain that specializes in fried chicken. They’ve been around since 1974 and have locations across Taiwan, China, and the United States. Kung Fu Tea hopes to open in Olney by this summer.

Damascus

Temperatures this week will start in the 60s and reach the 70s by Thursday…just in time for Jimmie Cone’s opening on March 17th.

Jimmie Cone has been serving soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt in Damascus since 1962, which make this year its 60th season! One of the reasons Jimmie Cone’s soft serve ice cream is loved by many could be because it is made with 10 percent butterfat, which is approximately twice as much as in McDonald’s and Dairy Queen soft serve. Cars usually pack the Damascus location on warmer days with long lines that move relatively quick.

Gaithersburg

In January we let you know that Tutti Frutti was in the process of transitioning its Kentlands location at 200 Kentlands Boulevard in Gaithersburg to Kung Fu Tea.

The change will be made official this weekend, as Kung FunTea will hold a grand opening that will offer Buy 1 Get 1 Drinks on select drinks (see image below).

As Metro prepares for the opening of both the Silver Line Extension and Potomac Yard Station in 2022, the transit authority will also advance its intensive state of good repair program. This includes completion of the multi-year platform reconstruction effort at 20 outdoor rail stations and several large-scale construction projects, including a major rehabilitation of the Yellow Line’s Potomac River tunnel and bridge crossing.

Metro will soon introduce new service on the Silver Line – including six new rail stations, 12 miles of track, and a new rail yard. And this summer, platform reconstruction and station improvements will be underway on the eastern end of the Orange Line.
