Nestle Toll House Cafe is Expected to open soon at 11 Arch Place in the Colonnade complex in the Kentlands. The cafe will serve coffee, cookies, “savories,” ice cream, and more. It will join the Westfield Wheaton location to make it the second Nestle Toll House Cafe In MoCo.
The restaurant is located at 2405 Price Avenue, in the old Rock Creek Chophouse location. It’s a very cozy spot, and fits the warm and welcoming description Godbout told me the restaurant was going for.
The cuisine is Classic American “with a dash of Irish charm.” Their chef is vegan trained and offers vegan options for most menu items when possible (including some of the specials).
Since his time at Seneca Valley High school, He had dreamt of being in the Military and continuing his family’s dedication in service; until White found out that he had to be medically discharged due to his back, scoliosis and occulta spina bifida.
Dreams crushed, White returned home to Montgomery County and decided to take the next step of enrolling into Montgomery College and getting a local retail job, just as many other college students do.
Husband and wife team, Florian and Shannon Radke, opened their first bakery in Berkeley, California in 2010. Four years later, the couple appeared on Shark Tank, where they initially accepted a $200,000 investment for 20% of their company (the deal later fell through due to differences in how investor Robert Herjavec and the Radke’s saw the company moving forward).
The bakery will be located at 321 Ellington Drive In Downtown Crown. The location used to be home to the “Downtown Crown RPAI US Management Office.” They expect to open in early 2019.

It didn’t take long after we shared the photos for one of the people in them to be tagged. I was able to ask her a few questions and get to the bottom of this local mystery.

Chef and owner Caroline Yi grew up in MoCo, attended Wootton High School and the University of Maryland at College Park.
This season she has been selling her goods at the Pike & Rose Farm Market, where she has a very loyal following. Yi chose Pike & Rose for her brick and mortar bakery and café because she sees it as the perfect location.
After speaking with a few employees the last two days, I was able to confirm that Taco Bar is planning to open in Olney this October.
Taco Bar currently has locations on Russell Ave in Gaithersburg, and in Frederick. Taco Bar Washingtonian (in Rio) is not related to the restaurant. They released the following statement today:
Today I spoke with Topgolf’s communications manager and was told that Topgolf is “hoping to break ground in the coming months!”
I know that things are behind schedule, but it looks like Topgolf Germantown is still ON!
Oddsshark.com and Bovada have released their odds on which city will win the bid for Amazon HQ2. The winning city/area will get about 50,000 high paying jobs. The article states that “Amazon estimates its investments in Seattle added an additional $38 billion to the city’s economy.”
According to the Vegas odds, Northern Virginia comes in first at +240. Washington D.C. comes in second at +350, and Austin is third at +400.
