Tato’s, a unique potato-centric dining experience, is preparing to open its doors at the Commas Food Hall in Ellsworth Place (8661 Colesville Rd., Downtown Silver Spring). This creative spot transforms a humble tuber into culinary art and provides guests with an interactive experience where they can design their own unique spud creation. It’s expected to open when Commas Food Hall opens later this spring.

Gaithersburg

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has a project to rehabilitate Brink Road Bridge No. M-0064 over Great Seneca Creek located in Gaithersburg. MCDOT will hold a virtual (online) public information meeting Wednesday, April 30, at 7 p.m.

Born in Washington, D.C. and growing up as the youngest of four in Silver Spring/Olney, Maryland, Whalen’s early years played a pivotal role for the 1982 graduate of Sherwood High School.

Downtown Silver Spring

Last year we reported on MoMo Hub, a restaurant that first opened in Clarksville, MD in 2022, expanding with a second location at Commas Food Hall in Ellsworth Place, Silver Spring (8661 Colesville Rd.). This new venue will bring an authentic Nepalese dining experience to the area when Commas opens later this spring.

Gaithersburg

Last month we let you know that Kareem’s Lebanese Kitchen is set to make a splash at Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront. Now we know the restaurant will be taking over the space formerly occupied by Bach to Rock at 212 Boardwalk Place. An opening timeframe is not yet available.
