Acting Inspector General Kevin B. Muhlendorf announced the launch of the WMATA Office of Inspector General (OIG) Whistleblower Award Program. Effective February 1, 2024, the WMATA OIG’s Whistleblower Award Program will begin evaluating information provided by whistleblowers for potential awards of up to $10,000. The Takoma Park Police Department is actively investigating two incidents related to a “peeping tom” that was reported on January 26, 2024, at approximately 10:00 pm. In both cases, residents in the vicinity of Flower Avenue brought attention to suspicious activities, prompting a response from law enforcement.
