Registration for the 16th Annual HBCU Fair opens on Friday, Jan. 19. This free, in-person event on Feb. 16 at The Universities at Shady Grove offers students in Grades 8-12 a chance to connect with representatives from over 50 HBCUs. Explore admissions, financial aid, testing, majors, and more through informative sessions with college representatives.
MCPS has just a pulled a $198 million permit toward the construction of the new Northwood High School at 919 University Blvd in Silver Spring (the same site the school is currently on), according to a recent Maryland Newsletters report. During construction, Northwood High School will occupy Woodward High School in Rockville starting July 2024. More renderings of Northwood available below, per MCPS.
As of 11:45am, the Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7pm Friday. Last November we let you know that Sodexo committed its U.S. headquarters to 915 Meeting Street, a new 276,000-square-foot trophy office building that recently opened in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose development. Sodexo’s headquarters are currently located at 9801 Washingtonian Blvd in Gaithersburg (next to Rio Lakefront). The firm pulled a permit toward a $5.59 million fitout of 51,907 square feet at the North Bethesda building, and now Prime US REIT has signed the first tenant that will take part of the space vacated by Sodexo
