Metro announced that Red Line construction between the Dupont Circle and Gallery Place stations will be completed early and $250,000 under budget, following construction for critical tunnel repairs and infrastructure upgrades. Normal Red Line service will resume one day earlier than planned, starting at 7 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 30.
Update: Per MCFRS Spokesperson Pete Piringer: “Park Police UTV & UTV731 located hiker at 7pm. 1 adult being assisted back to roadway/staging, MCFRS EMS evaluating for possible transport before releasing.”
Approximately two months after the opening of MoCo’s first Z-Burger in Olney, the restaurant has opened its second Montgomery County location at 4827 Fairmont Ave in Bethesda, the space that was home to BGR from 2008-2022.
Russ Parr has announced that his morning show, The Russ Parr Morning Show, has come to an end after nearly 30 years on the air. He has been in the DC area since 1996, when he joined WKYS.
In October we let you know that Kusshi Sushi officially signed on to take over the space that was home to popular sushi restaurant Sushi Damo at 36G Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. Sushi Damo, one of the first tenants of Rockville Town Square, closed permanently on October 1st.
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission has amicably resolved a claim by former Montgomery County Planning Department Director Gwen Wright. Wright was removed as Planning Director in October 2022 after over nine years in the position. She had previously announced her retirement, effective January 1, 2023.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) is warning of several single-vehicle collisions/spin outs on Thursday morning, especially in the area of the I-270 skyramp to I-370 (Sam Eig Hwy).
