The Montgomery County Council passed the Bring Your Own Bag (BYOB) Bill, banning single-use plastic carryout bags and increasing the fee for paper bags from five to ten cents, with proceeds supporting water quality protection projects. Governor Wes Moore is urging Marylanders to stay off roads and exercise caution as a winter storm is expected to impact the state from February 11-12, bringing hazardous road conditions, heavy snowfall, and potential power outages. MCDOT
