Per Montgomery County Government: “All Maryland employers will have to pay their hourly employees a minimum wage of $15 per hour starting Jan. 1, 2024. This requirement stems from the enactment of Maryland Senate Bill 555 (SB555), also known as the Fair Wage Act of 2023, which was signed into law by Maryland Governor Wes Moore on April 11, 2023.
Per MCPS: “Montgomery County Public Schools has been chosen from dozens of school district candidates nationwide to participate in the District Comprehensive Approach (DCA) created in partnership by The Jed Foundation (JED) and The School Superintendents Association’s (AASA) to strengthen the mental health and emotional well-being of its students.

Per the Maryland Cannabis Administration: “The initial business licensing round for new cannabis growers, processors, and dispensaries closed on December 12, with more than 1,700 applications submitted across all three license categories.
