Over the last two months, the Takoma Park Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division has been actively investigating a number of residential burglaries that involved the victims’ vehicles being stolen. On Monday, June 13th the Takoma Park Police Department sent out the following press release:
On today’s date, through investigative means, detectives recovered several of the stolen vehicles with the assistance of the DC Metropolitan Police Department in the District of Columbia. Further investigation developed a person of interest who was subsequently located and charged with possession of the stolen vehicles and residential burglary.
This is an open and ongoing investigation. Detectives ask that anyone with information related to these crimes contact Detective/Lieutenant Joseph Butler at 301-602-4362. Additional information will be forthcoming upon the conclusion of the investigation.
