Per Montgomery County (For Immediate Release: Wednesday, June 15, 2022) The Germantown Community Recreation Center, located at 18905 Kingsview Road will close this summer for a roofing project. The Center will close on Wednesday, June 22 and is scheduled to reopen Thursday, Aug. 18.
All programming scheduled to take place at the Center throughout the closure will take place at alternate locations, with the exception of early voting. The Center will remain open as an Early Voting location from July 7 – 14.

About the Germantown Recreation Center:
The Germantown Community Recreation Center is located in the 10.9 square-mile Germantown area, not far from the intersection of Germantown Road (MD Rt. 118) and Clopper Road. Although this 23,500 square-foot recreation facility is connected to Kingsview Middle School, it offers recreational programs and activities for all age groups.
Everything from sports, fitness, dance, music, and art programs to special events and social activities can be found at this multi-purpose recreational facility. The outdoor area includes tennis courts, basketball courts, a football/soccer field, and baseball and softball fields.
