CANCELLED: Holiday “Barket” to Take Place on December 3rd

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER
On Saturday, December 3 from 10 am to 1 pm at Cabin John Regional Park, enjoy a dog-themed holiday market that is fun for pups and owners of all ages! Bring your pooch and peruse various booths to let them sniff and snack on healthy treats, find the perfect holiday accessories for you both, and purchase the perfect stocking stuffers for your pet and dog-loving friends alike!

If you are interested in discovering local pet service businesses, like training, boarding, and veterinary, you are in luck. Whether your dog needs to learn to “sit” and “stay” for your family holiday photoshoot or needs a yearly check-up, you can learn more at the Holiday Barket.

If your pup is looking for a furry friend to add to their pack, catch PetConnect Rescue at the event and learn more about their adoption efforts and services. PetConnect is an animal welfare organization dedicated to saving dogs and cats at high risk of euthanasia. We are committed to ensuring a highly positive rescue experience for our adopters and to raising awareness of the plight of abandoned animals through community education.

Dogs won’t be the only ones having fun – humans will be able to enjoy a selection of food and drink from vendors as they listen to holiday music by local band, Capital Effect, at the amphitheater. Take a picture with your pet and the Grinch at the on-site photo station and take home a cute photo souvenir. Stop by the craft area to make a keepsake of your canine’s paw to add to your holiday garland!

Fear not if your pup gets a little too excited – the Cabin John Regional Park Dog Park is right across the lane from the Holiday Barket! Feel free to let them loose in the dog park – just make sure you have them on a leash as you meander through the booths and activities.
