Montgomery County Announces Its 10th Annual Energy Summit

by Patrick Herron

New this year will be the featured “Innovation Alley,” a display of innovative products and services available to the commercial and multifamily building sector to aid in building energy efficiency, renewable energy, electrification, building decarbonization, healthy buildings and zero-emission vehicles. Exhibitors interested in participating should submit an expression of interest on the Energy Summit website by Wednesday, Feb. 1.

“For the last 10 years, we have been proud to host the Montgomery County Energy Summit and to see how it has grown over the last decade,” said County Executive Marc Elrich.  “As we continue to adopt policies and programs that move the building sector to an energy-efficient, low-carbon future in line with the County’s climate action goals, partnerships between the private sector and local government are crucial. The Energy Summit is an annual convening where this collaboration happens.”

Summit attendees will be able to have hands-on learning opportunities, as well as hear case studies regarding commercial and multifamily buildings. The Summit will provide education sessions, the Innovation Alley showcase of products and services, hands-on building audit demonstrations and a networking reception.

The Silver Spring Civic Center is located at 1 Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring. It is easily accessible from the Silver Spring Metrorail station. Registration for the Energy Summit will open in early February. To find the full schedule for the Montgomery County Energy Summit, visit www.mcenergysummit.org.
