Rockville

All Maryland Courts, including District Court for Montgomery County (Silver Spring),  Maryland District Court (Rockville), and Montgomery County Circuit Court (Rockville) are closed on Friday, July 19, 2024, due to the worldwide Microsoft outage.  NBC News reports that the outages were caused by what was supposed to be a routine update from the cybersecurity company CrowdStrike. Germantown

Approximately 55 Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) firefighters responded to a house fire in the 11400 block of Neelsville Church Rd, near Shakespeare Boulevard in Germantown, on Friday morning, where one person was reported trapped.
