Per MCPD: “At approximately 12:49 p.m., officers received a call for a man unconscious, near the initial call, in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Cir. Upon arrival, officers located Alan Garnica of Gaithersburg, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, Garnica was pronounced dead at the scene.

Animal Control and and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue (MCFRS) crews rescued a dog from a storm drain on Friday, November 11 in the area of Washington Grove Ln and Center St in Gaithersburg. According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, responders “removed storm grates, in turn scared dog out of pipe to waiting @mcfrs crew at other end.”
Olney Crab House at 18200 Georgia Avenue in Olney has gone dark. Readers informed us that the location was not open in recent days and Google Business lists the restaurant as “permanently closed.” The restaurant’s phone number is no longer in service.
