The Montgomery County Council voted Tuesday to approve an 18-month moratorium on new data center development while also adopting a zoning measure that establishes new definitions and restrictions for large data centers.

When I moved back to the D.C. area after several years in New York, I found myself rebuilding a social circle. Friends had moved away or settled into different routines, and finding a few guys to hang out with took more effort than I remembered.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Montgomery County and a large portion of Maryland, along with parts of Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. The watch remains in effect until 10pm Tuesday.
