Crumbl Cookies opened its first MoCo location almost two years ago at Federal Plaza in Rockville. An opening date of Friday, September 9th has been posted on Google and was confirmed by an employee of the Rockville location on Wednesday evening.

The shop will be located at 20650 Seneca Meadows Pkwy, in what used to be home to Sprint, next to Sally Beauty. Permanent signage has been up for about 6 months with customers eagerly awaiting the arrival of the cookie bakery. Back in March we let you know of a the third Crumbl Cookies location that will be coming to Montgomery County, as a new store signed on at 277 Kentlands Blvd, next to Panera, in the space that was formerly home to TD Ameritrade. This news came about five months after the upcoming Germantown location was announced, and construction has quickly progressed at that location (no opening date available yet).

OmniFun Indoor Play Center, located at 831 Russell Ave Gaithersburg, will be reopening on Friday, September 2nd. OmniFun closed its doors back on May 23 of this year. At the time, OmniFun’s owner Mike Tian said the business could not recover after the coronavirus pandemic brought business to a standstill. “The business was a success on the first day we were open.  It served as a sweet spot for kids to socialize with others and for parents to relax and have a chat. We were very well received and recognized by the community. We had parents traveling hours to OmniFun every weekend. Our birthday parties were fully booked every weekend.”

The University of Maryland Athletics program has announced the launch of Maryland Marketplace, that allows fans and supporters to purchase shoutouts, videos, social media posts, and even ad pitches from their favorite student athletes. The platform, which is similar to Cameo, allows the student-athletes to maximize earnings through Name, Image, Likeness (NIL). The platform includes former Maryland student-athletes like Stefon Diggs, Steve Blake, and more.

Per UMTerps: Maryland Athletics announced the launch of the Maryland Marketplace, one of the first licensed school Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) marketplaces in college sports. The Opendorse-powered marketplace will maximize NIL support for Terrapin student-athletes. Maryland is among the first programs nationwide to provide a single marketplace platform to send supporters to access student-athletes and offer NIL opportunities. The marketplace gives Maryland fans, brands and sponsors the ability to browse, book, pitch and pay current and former Terp student-athletes for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for the athletes’ needs.
