Longtime MoCo resident James Brown was a member of the 2020/2021 class of the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame that was inducted earlier this week.
Affectionately known as “JB,” Brown is perhaps best known for hosting NFL Today.
Bill Gibson stripped down his 1978 Lincoln and was able to convert it into the Batmobile from the 60s Batman TV show entirely on his own.
Since Halloween of 2016, you may have seen Bill and his Batmobile driving around town, in the Burtonsville Day Parade, or visiting places like the Children’s Inn at NIH or the Carl Sandburg Learning Center to brighten the day of children from our area.
Earlier this week Bassett’s Fine Food & Spirits in Poolesville (19950 Fisher Ave) announced on its social media that the restaurant will be closing permanently on December 31.

Fourteen-year-old MCPS student Trent is debuting his 2nd annual holiday lights show and food drive tonight at his home in North Potomac.
Trent is the same Quince Orchard freshman that created a Haunted Trail back in October.
