Last April we let you know that local restaurant group Moby Dick House of Kabob signed on to open a new restaurant in Potomac’s Cabin John Village (11325 Seven locks Road Suite 180, Potomac MD 20854). The new location is adjacent to Colony Grill on the back side of the shopping center and opened last month. Now, the restaurant will be holding a grand opening celebration on Monday, April 28th, offering 25% off all in-store orders.

Events

Montgomery County will host the 10th annual GreenFest on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Marian Fryer Plaza in Wheaton. The event will feature exhibits on environmental topics, electric vehicles, live music, family activities, and a household battery recycling drop-off, along with recognition of local individuals and organizations for their sustainability efforts. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is reminding travelers that starting May 7, all passengers 18 and older must present a REAL ID-compliant license or other acceptable identification, such as a passport, at airport security checkpoints or risk delays, additional screening, or being denied entry. Beyond MoCo

Washington County Parks & Recreation has announced the loss of the historic 200-year-old Chinkapin Oak Tree at Woodland Way Park in Hagerstown, MD due to storm damage over Easter weekend, with plans underway to safely remove and potentially repurpose parts of the tree. (more…)
