Hangry Joe’s at 19290 Montgomery Village Ave in the Montgomery Village Shopping Center has reopened. The restaurant had been closed for the past week with a “closed” sign posted on the front door covering the store’s hours of operation. We spoke to someone at the location who was unablenprovide an explanation for last week’s closure.

Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown joined a coalition of 23 attorneys general opposing efforts by the Trump administration and Elon Musk to defund and dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), warning that its removal would harm consumers and weaken financial oversight. The coalition filed an amicus brief arguing that shutting down the CFPB would reduce protections against fraud, unfair banking practices, and predatory lending.
