The owners of Kiin Imm Thai, a popular and highly rated Thai restaurant that opened its first location in Vienna, VA and has a restaurant in Rockville, MD, will open a second Montgomery County location in Gaithersburg.
The Springsong Museum, a nonprofit organization, is seeking to fund and build a museum honoring Rachel Carson, a pioneering writer, biologist, and Silver Spring resident. The museum will be located at Burnt Mills East Park, a serene setting adjacent to the Northwest Branch Trail in Silver Spring, and will repurpose the existing historic 1929 WSSC water filtration facility building.
The Washington DC area is on the radar for Cosm Inc., the innovative immersive entertainment company, as it seeks a site for its next “Shared Reality” venue. The Washington Business Journal is reporting that Cosm is actively looking for a significant footprint, targeting 40,000 to 80,000 square feet, with a preference for locations near existing major sports venues. While Southeast DC is being eyed, the company remains open to other possibilities within the metropolitan area.

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) received eight 2025 Achievement Awards from the National Association of Counties (NACo) for innovative programs in civic education, sustainability, public safety, information technology, and transportation, recognizing efforts such as real-time bus displays, school zone safety integration, and digital tools to improve public services.
