Steve Solomon Announces County Council Candidacy for District 6

Steve Solomon, former co-host of The MoCoShow podcast and The Steve Czaban Show, has announced his candidacy for District 6 in Montgomery County.  Issues Solomon is running on include economic development, infrastructure, school snow days, and deer management.

Solomon previously ran for County Council in 2018 and Board of Education in 2020.

Steve’s bio from his website:

I’m Steve Solomon and I’m running for Montgomery County Council – District 6.  I am a lifelong resident of Montgomery County.  My parents were immigrants who fled Europe in the 1940s.  They came to Montgomery County in the 1960s and never left.  Both spent their careers working for the federal government. My father at the FDA working in food safety and my mother at the VA fighting for benefits for injured military service members.  I’ve lived and worked in Kemp Mill, Rockville, Silver Spring, Bethesda, Wheaton, and Olney.

I’m not a politician.  I’m just an average middle class guy who wants to help the community he’s been a part of his whole life.

My career thus far has been in radio and podcasting.  After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics, I was able to follow my dream of working in radio.  I’ve spent the past 21 years as a producer and host in talk radio.  If you’ve ever listened to Solly (the name most people know me as on the radio) you’ll know that I tell it like it is and pull no punches.

I’ve had various jobs in school and before radio:  carpenter, ticket office worker, library, lawn mowing.

Over the last several years, I’ve gotten more involved in Montgomery County issues – volunteering for boards, committees, nonprofits, and political campaigns. I even spent over a year co-hosting a weekly podcast all about things that are happening in Montgomery County.
