The holidays are set to sparkle once again in Rockville as The Square hosts its annual Rockville Tree Lighting on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event will take place at 36 Maryland Avenue (formerly Rockville Town Square), bringing the community together for an evening filled with music, performances, and holiday cheer.
The development formerly known as Rockville Town Square announced a rebrand to The Square earlier this year. In the last year and a half, the development has seen additional changes that have led to an overall feeling of optimism as new tenants enter. Below, we’ll let you know of some of the newer establishments (since 2024) and what’s coming soon.

Along with the rebranding, parking policies have been updated, reducing the complimentary parking time from two hours to 90 minutes.
