WEBSITE
Music: The free event celebrates local music with 18 performances on 3 stages, with a mix of soul, funk, roots rock, blues, swing, drumming, folk, and more. From award-winning performers to emerging artists, there is something for everyone! For the entire line up MUSIC.
Vendors:
Over 150 booths extend all along Carroll Avenue – this year on one side of the street only – from Eastern Avenue, NW in Washington, DC to Philadelphia Avenue in Takoma Park, MD with work from local artists and makers including art, jewelry, stationary, home decor, clothing, personal care products, plants, and much more. Community groups and green companies participate as well with info to share. Visitors may explore Takoma’s unique local shops along the way.
Food:
There will be many great food options from Takoma restaurants, food trucks and festival food favorites all to be enjoyed on the Takoma Streetery on Laurel Avenue. The Takoma Park Farmers Market runs during the festival with 25 additional vendors in an adjacent parking lot. The entrance to the farmers market is at 6931 Laurel Avenue.
The Crawl:
The Crawl will take place during the festival. Festival-goers may purchase a commemorative mug for $5 at the Festival Info Booth at Laurel Avenue which may be used for discounted drinks at local restaurants. Alcoholic drinks may only be consumed inside restaurants and on restaurant patios.
The festival layout has been changed to allow more space for visitors to spread out and safely enjoy the event. Booths will be placed on one side of the street only. Stages will have a perimeter to increase space between performers and the audience. All festival visitors over the age of 12 are encouraged to be fully vaccinated and all visitors are asked to wear a mask when not eating or drinking. There will not be any children’s inflatables this year.
Entry may occur all along the festival route, but there are two main entrances at either end of the festival:
- Carroll Avenue at Eastern Avenue, NW: Take Metro’s Red line to the Takoma station or park in the Metro parking lot. The entrance is 3 blocks away.
- Carroll Avenue at Philadelphia Avenue: Free parking lot hosted by the TPSS Co-op at 201 Ethan Allen Avenue. The Festival entrance is .5 blocks away.
