You can get updates on the construction of the new Seneca Valley High School on Twitter by following @TheNewSVHS.

Yesterday they posted the photo above– looking at the outline of the gymnasium, cafeteria and auditorium.

Construction of the new building is taking place on the school’s old athletic fields. Once the new building is completed, the new athletic fields will be built where the current building stands today.

The school is expected to be ready to go for the start of the 2020/2021 school year. It will be able to hold over 3,000 students, but will likely start off with 2,400+. Seneca Valley will also be the largest public high school in the state of Maryland when it opens.
