Terrain Cafe, located inside of Anthropologie & Co.’at 7228 Woodmont Ave in Bethesda, has closed its doors permanently. The cafe, closed its doors on November 29th.
Per MCDOT: “Beginning on Sunday, Dec. 17 the bus loop at Friendship Heights Metro Station will close for approximately two months due to a WMATA concrete replacement project. During the closure, all Metrobus and Ride On routes normally served inside the loop will be temporarily relocated. (more…)

Mandi Mediterranean Bar Grill Lounge is opening today at 4906 St. Elmo Ave. in Bethesda, according to a representative from the restaurant. It is located in the space that was the longtime home of Bangkok Garden, which closed in August 2021 after almost 40 years in business.
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “This morning, in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, the Honorable John Maloney sentenced defendant, David Lee Brown III, 30, of Washington D.C. to 55 years in prison suspend all but 35 years to serve and five years of supervised probation upon release. Chevy Chase Lake ( 8525 Chevy Chase Lake Ter.) will hold a ‘Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting’ event on Thursday, November 30 from 5:30-8pm. The event will be hosted by NBC 4’s Tommy McFly and feature live music, festive food, giveaways, and a toy drive benefiting A Wider Circle.
