The incident, which prompted a significant police response, was found to have no malicious intent, and the individual is not being charged.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) responded to reports of an active shooter situation on the 8900 block of Rockville Pike earlier today, the address of Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda. Officers from the 2nd District were dispatched at approximately 10:24 a.m. after receiving the alarming call.
