Comedian Mark Curry is coming to town with two shows at Bethesda Theater this Sunday, December 15th. Perhaps best known as the star of the ABC sitcom “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper” and as one of the various hosts of the syndicated series “It’s Showtime at the Apollo”, Curry became a household name in the 90s. The shows will be at 6pm (dinner & doors at 4pm) and 9:30pm (dinner & doors at 8:30pm), with tickets available here.

BT’s Bethesda, a new restaurant and bar owned by Brian “BT” Lacey, will open on Friday, December 13, at 4866 Cordell Ave., in the space formerly occupied by Zuma by Chef Ninja. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has arrested and charged 37-year-old Mackenzie Rose Colgan with first-degree murder in the drowning death of her 3-month-old daughter on December 8, 2024 in Chevy Chase.
Authorities are investigating the death of a 3-month-old infant in the 7300 block of Summit Ave of Chevy Chase, initially reported as a drowning, with the mother taken into custody and an autopsy pending to determine the cause and manner of death.
