Demonta King, 18, of Chevy Chase, MD, pleaded guilty today for carjacking a taxicab driver at knifepoint in November 2024 and robbing another victim at gunpoint when he was 16 in August 2022, announced U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin, Jr., Chief Pamela Smith, of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Chick-fil-A’s experimental “Little Blue Menu” test kitchen, located at 7242 Baltimore Ave. in College Park, Maryland, will lay off 91 employees effective May 14 as part of a planned remodel, according to a Work Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice filed with the state on March 14.

Attorney General Anthony G. Brown has joined a coalition of 21 attorneys general in suing the Trump administration to stop the dismantling of three federal agencies— the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Minority Business Development Agency, and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service—arguing that the Executive Order violates the Constitution and harms public services.
