Chick-fil-A’s only Little Blue Menu location has officially reopened in College Park, MD. Located at 7242 Baltimore Avenue, the restaurant is now open Monday through Saturday from 7am to 10 pm, offering both dine-in and carry-out options, as well as delivery and limited curbside pickup.

Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that Clarence Woods, Jr., 62, of Glen Burnie pleaded guilty to felony theft and securities fraud for defrauding 16 victims of more than $573,000 through a Ponzi-style scheme and other thefts, with sentencing set for October 30, 2025. (more…)
Tillman, a native of Prince George’s County, MD has made history at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. The Severance star won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, becoming the first Black man ever to win in the category. According to Variety, it was the only acting field in the Emmys’ 77-year history that had never before honored a Black performer.
Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced a settlement requiring Heather Hill Apartments in Prince George’s County to provide an estimated $11.2 million in restitution for operating without a rental license, marking the largest landlord/tenant restitution case by the Consumer Protection Division. Berries & Bowls, the popular superfood café known for its açai bowls, smoothies, and juices, is set to open a new location in College Park. The shop will be located at 4350 Knox Road, on the ground floor of the Union on Knox apartment building. An official opening date has not yet been announced.

Maryland State Police arrested three men from Prince George’s and Charles counties and seized multiple firearms following a Maryland Car Rally Task Force investigation tied to an illegal car rally involving about 300 people in the Baltimore Metro Region on June 29, 2025. Search warrants executed on September 3 led to additional firearm seizures, and the suspects face various charges related to unlawful vehicle use, firearm possession, and ammunition violations.
In October, we reported that Zaxbys was entering the Maryland market with three locations along the Eastern Shore. Then, this past spring, Zaxbys announced that it’s planning to open four additional restaurants across Baltimore and Howard counties. Now, Biz Journals reports that the Prince George’s County Planning Board approved the county’s first Zaxby’s location.
A Prince George’s County man won $1 million in the August 20 Powerball Double Play drawing after unknowingly purchasing two tickets with the same numbers, each winning a $500,000 second-tier prize. The tickets were bought at Landover Hills Exxon in Landover and A-1 Laundromat in Riverdale. (more…)
