The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is awarding $970 million from President Biden’s Bipartisan Investing in America agenda to 114 airports across the country, spanning 44 states and three territories. This will include three local airports– Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) in Maryland, Martin State Airport in Maryland, and Washington Dulles Airport in Virginia.
While most people are waking up to snow-covered ground, the amount is far less than projected by the National Weather Service prior to the storm. We’ve also included maps from the four major networks (from Friday morning).

Shortly before 8:30pm on Friday night we received various reports of a loud boom being heard/felt in various parts of the DC Metro Area- from Loudoun County, to Montgomery, and DC. This is being attributed to a house explosion on Silver Ridge Dr. in Sterling VA that has killed one firefighter and injured 11 other people (including 9 firefighters).
