The Washington Commanders drafted Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly, Jr. in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft—a move that few predicted but one that has been warmly received by reporters and fans alike. One ardent supporter of this decision is offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who left a note for general manager Adam Peters earlier this week. The note (video available below) was simple and it read, “I stopped by. Take Oregon tackle. Thnx! Kliff.”

Unibal-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) has defaulted on a roughly $235 million securitized loan tied to Westfield Wheaton– the largest mall in suburban Maryland and the fourth-largest in the Greater Washington area. The mall was originally built in 1958 and was known as Wheaton Plaza– the first shopping mall in Montgomery County.

According to a report by the Washington Business Journal, Giordano’s, the Chicago-style pizza maker has signed on for its first DMV location at 600 14th St. NW. The establishment will occupy a roughly 7,000 SF space near Metro Center that’s been vacant since December 2023, when Todd English relocated his MXDC Cocina Mexicana to 1610 14th St. NW.
