In 2022, we let you know that Potomac Foods Group leased part of the parking lot from the property owner, Safeway, at 15411 New Hampshire Ave to build a new Burger King restaurant (with drive-thru). Demolition of the previous bank building occurred in early 2022 and construction seemed to be complete last summer. After some delays, the fast food restaurant is now officially open.

Monday, April 1st is grand opening day for Montgomery College’s East County Education Center (ECEC) which is bringing the College’s unique services and academic programs to the residents of the East County to expand access in this region and to serve as an anchor institution in the community.
