The Montgomery County Board of Education has announced that it will formally dedicate its Board room at 15 W. Gude Drive in honor of the late Patricia O’Neill, celebrating her remarkable legacy of service to Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and the broader community.

Anabelle Jaffe dedicated more than 60 years of her life to Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland. Now, at 103 years old and no longer working with the school system, she enjoys life at The Ring House in Rockville, as noted by community member Lisa Banos, who attended Wheaton High School when Jaffe was a guidance counselor there.
The dark days are almost behind us. The sun’s setting a little earlier, the pads are coming out of the storage bins, and footballs are starting to fly through humid summer air. It won’t be long now—conditioning, then scrimmages, and then, before you know it, September 5th will roll around and with it the glorious return of MoCo football. (more…)
Seneca Valley High School in Germantown, MD, has once again showcased its talent and dedication in the field of skilled trades by participating in SkillsUSA for the second consecutive year. This year, two exceptional 10th-grade students, Jayden Williams and Kedus Anteneh, traveled to Atlanta, GA, to compete in the SkillsUSA National Interactive Application and Video Game Development Competition, where they earned Gold in Maryland and a Top Ten finish nationally.
