Pilar Sanders, the proud mother of NFL players Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, was seen cheering on her son, Shilo Sanders, in a custom outfit designed by Montgomery County’s Passion For Ezra. The outfit was worn for Shilo’s preseason debut with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he made an impression with a significant hit and a tackle.

 Strathmore introduces six dynamic young musicians as its Artists in Residence (AIR) Class of 2026—a genre-defying cohort selected for their creativity, skill, and artistic vision. The artists will make their debut at Fresh AIR on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. at The Music Center. This signature event for one of the region’s premier professional development programs for rising musicians will feature the participants’ original works, innovative collaborations, and cross-disciplinary performances. Montgomery Parks is calling on the public to help select a new mural for the park activity building at Glenmont Local Park. From August 4 through August 24, 2025, community members can vote for their favorite design from four mural concepts, selected from a pool of 26 submissions by a panel of arts professionals and community stakeholders.

In the heart of Montgomery County, a new wave of energy and excitement is taking over Monday evenings. Meet Sash Sujith, a Montgomery County native with a passion for dance and community, who is transforming the way adults in the area engage with the vibrant art of Bhangra. A former member of the University of Maryland’s competitive Bhangra team, Sash felt a void after graduation– a lack of spaces where adults could dance purely for fun and connection. This realization inspired the launch of MitranDe Bhangra Workshops in June.
