Earlier this week, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson shared that TCU linebacker Johnny Hodges was invited to the Los Angeles Chargers rookie minicamp. Hodges is a Montgomery County native from Darnestown who graduated from Quince Orchard High School in 2019.
Last summer, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood sought approval to build a 10,000 SF restaurant at 151 Lakelands Drive, at the corner of Lakelands Drive and Great Seneca Highway in Gaithersburg– what would be Eddie V’s first Maryland location. The proposal was met with mixed emotions, sparking opposition from many Lakelands residents and prompting a petition that garnered over 100 signatures in the days following the news.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire that has led to the evacuation of an apartment building in Montgomery Village on Tuesday night.
In 1952, Clarence Kettler founded Kettler Brothers, Incorporated, alongside his two brothers, Milton and Charles. With a vision of creating a unique community, the Kettler brothers went on to develop Montgomery Village. Lake Whetstone, one of MV’s most iconic landmarks, first opened for boating and fishing in September 1967 (photos available below).
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating the April 26 homicide of 20-year-old Henry Krishawn Gilbert of Clarksburg, who was found shot inside a vehicle that had crashed into a townhouse on Brookridge Court in Montgomery Village. The City of Gaithersburg has announced new changes to its Gaithersburg Downpayment Assistance program, or Gaithersburg DPA. The program now allows borrowers to access up to $40,000 in downpayment and closing cost assistance. These loans remain 0% deferred and are accessible to eligible first-time homebuyers purchasing within the City of Gaithersburg corporate limits.
