The building that was home to Famous Dave’s and Diya Bistro at 917 Quince Orchard Rd in Gaithersburg is set to be demolished. it has been fenced off for a while, with signage for Monocacy Custom Services (Excavation and Demolition) up on the fence. Empress Coffee & Cocktails is now open at 325 Main Street in Gaithersburg. The new coffee shop has taken over the space that was most recently home to Brew House Kentlands, which closed after being open for a little over a year. The space was also the previous home of Clear Skies Meadery, which opened its new meadery at 15201 Display Ct in Rockville.
As we reported last week, Buca di Beppo at 112 Kentlands Blvd in Gaithersburg will be closing permanently today (Sunday, June 23). The restaurant has also either recently closed or announced upcoming closures at multiple locations across the country, including in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Hawaii.
