All lanes are currently closed from MD-97 (Georgia Ave) to Sapling Ridge Ln in Brookeville due to a major traffic incident. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is actively investigating the collision, which has been confirmed as fatal.

The crash, which occurred at approximately 7:48am, involved a vehicle fire and required the extrication of trapped individuals.
