The crash, which occurred at approximately 7:48am, involved a vehicle fire and required the extrication of trapped individuals.
A fatal head-on collision early Wednesday morning has closed a portion of westbound Sandy Spring Road in Burtonsville. The Montgomery County Police Department issued a traffic advisory at 4:14 am, warning drivers to seek an alternate route and to expect significant delays.
