On December 4, 2024, the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) led a multi-agency traffic safety initiative along MD Route 355, focusing on aggressive driving, pedestrian safety, distracted driving, seat belt compliance, and impaired driving. The operation, involving approximately 60 officers, resulted in 382 traffic stops, 165 citations, 330 warnings, 19 repair orders, two impaired driving arrests, and enhanced pedestrian and commercial vehicle safety enforcement efforts. Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Luis Nunez, a missing 33-year-old autistic man.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is urging residents to plan ahead and avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or cannabis during the holiday season.
