Per MCPD: “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes, Homicide Division, have requested and obtained warrants for two men wanted in connection with a March homicide and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating them. 21-year-old D’Andre Lukes and D’Angelo Holley are wanted for their alleged involvement in the shooting death of Deandre Keith Ellis on Sunday, March 5, 2023.  Ellis was shot and killed inside of a car outside of the Sweet Sweet Kitchen in the 900 block of Bonifant Street.

Two other suspects, Kajohn McCombs and Ahmahd McCombs, both 22-years-old, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder on Tuesday, March 14, for their alleged involvement in Ellis’s death. They are being held without bond.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in the 9800 block of Falls Rd. in Potomac. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the male suspect and asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him. At approximately 11:05 a.m., 1st District officers responded to the location for the report of a bank robbery.

The investigation has revealed that the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller windows, displayed a black handgun and demanded money. The tellers handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect who then left the scene. Detectives reviewed the bank surveillance video and obtained a description of the suspect.


Per MCPD: “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the America’s Best Wings restaurant in the 11200 block of New Hampshire Ave. At approximately 5:51p.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. 34-year-old Marvin Jefferson, of Silver Spring, was located outside of the restaurant. The second victim was located nearby. Both victims were transported to an area hospital, where Jefferson was later pronounced dead. The second victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and has been released from the hospital.


Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to serious collision involving a motorcyclist  on Sunday, November 4. The incident occurred around 1pm on US-29 Columbia Pike at Musgrove Road (Fairland). According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, the motorcyclist was transported to an area Trauma Center with serious to critical injuries.

The Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Aqueel Karim Aleem, a missing 12-year-old from Silver Spring. Aleem was last seen on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at approximately 4 p.m., in the 8500 block of 16th Street in Silver Spring. He is 5-feet tall, 102 lbs., with brown eyes, black hair and was last seen wearing a black puffy coat, a camouflage jacket with a hood, gray sweat pants with white lines on the side, and black Jordan sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Aqueel Karim Aleem is asked to call Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency (301) 279-8000 (24-hour line).


Montgomery County Police responded to a shooting in the White Oak Shopping Center on Saturday, November 4. According to police, “At approximately 5:51p.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the America’s Best Wings restaurant in the 11200 block of New Hampshire Ave. for the report of a shooting.   Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to an area hospital, where one of the victims was pronounced dead. The second victim is in critical condition.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that there was an altercation inside the restaurant that led to the shooting. After the shooting, the suspect left the scene.  No suspect is in custody at this time.  This is an active and ongoing investigation.” We will provide an update if additional information becomes available. Montgomery County Police tweeted the following at 6:09pm on Saturday, November 4: “MCPD is responding to a shooting call in the 11200 block of New Hampshire Ave. More information will be released as it becomes available.”

According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, two victims were shot during a fight near the White Oak Shopping Center around 5:50pm. Montgomery County Police 3D Officers aided both victims prior to EMS arrival. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.


Per MCPD: “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigative Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for multiple theft from autos that occurred on Sunday, September 24, 2023, in the 2800 block of Atlanta Drive in Silver Spring.

The investigation has revealed that the suspect entered multiple vehicles parked in the area, stole property from those vehicles and left the scene. Detectives reviewed surveillance cameras and obtained images of the suspect checking door handles in the area.   The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and white shoes. He was carrying a gray backpack.


Per MCPD: “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Silver Spring Investigative Section are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Dave & Buster’s in the 8600 block of Colesville Road. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

The investigation by detectives has revealed that on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., the victims were in the restroom at Dave & Buster’s when they were approached by three male suspects who demanded the victim’s property. When the victims failed to comply with the suspects’ demands, the suspects began to physically assault them, stole their property and then ran out of the restroom. The suspects were observed on video surveillance leaving the business with a female.
