The Special Victims Investigations Division is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Xavier Beltran, a missing 15-year-old. Beltran was last seen on Monday, September 11, 2023, in the 200 block of Poplar St. in Rockville. He is 5’6″, 120 lbs., with black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and red and black high top sneakers.

Detectives reviewed surveillance video and obtained a description of the suspect.  The suspect is described as a Black male, with medium length black hair and a black beard. He is described as a wearing a tan long sleeve hooded t-shirt, black sweatpants with “Nike Air,” written vertically on the right leg and white sneakers with gray and black designs.


Per MCPD: A 31-year-old Silver Spring man died after he was hit by a vehicle on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.   At approximately 4:12 a.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to New Hampshire Avenue near Chalmers Road for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) responded to the scene. The preliminary investigation has determined that the driver of a white 2020 Ford Transit Van was traveling southbound on New Hampshire Avenue, when he struck a pedestrian, later identified as Evan Heath Hesekiel, who was crossing southbound New Hampshire Avenue, north of Chalmers Road. The driver remained on scene.


On August 27, 2023, at approximately 7: 53 p.m., 2nd District officers observed orange spray paint reading, “Club Aryan Excellent” with a black Swastika in an orange outline and a palm tree painted on the wall under the Josiah Henson Parkway pedestrian tunnel.

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who stole packages and mail from an apartment complex in Bethesda.

On August 19, 2023, 2nd District officers responded to the 5400 block of Westbard Ave. for the report of a theft that occurred earlier. The investigation by detectives has determined that two suspects entered the secured building, after a resident opened the lobby door to pick up a food delivery. Once in the building, the suspects stole multiple packages belonging to residents. Detectives obtained surveillance video of the suspects.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Major Crimes Division area investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at a 7-Eleven in the 12300 block of Middlebrook Road in Germantown.  At approximately 12:45 a.m., 5th District officers responded to the location for the report of a commercial armed robbery.

The investigation by detectives has revealed that two suspects entered the 7-Eleven. One of the suspects displayed a black handgun, pointed it at an employee, forced the employee behind the cash register and demanded cash. The employee complied with the suspect’s initial demand. When the employee was unable to comply with the suspect’s demand to open the store safe, the suspect demanded personal property from the employee.

Lobos was last seen on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at approximately 11:40 p.m., in the Kemp Mill area of Wheaton. He is 5’5″, 120 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray shorts, and black Crocs.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Missing Persons/Cold Case Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Juan Machado, a missing 18-year-old. Machado was last seen on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, in the 1700 block of Mt. Pisgah Lane in Silver Spring. He is 5’6″, 180 lbs., with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes.

Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred Wednesday morning in Hillandale. According to police, “At approximately 4:12 a.m., on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Chalmers Road for the report of a pedestrian struck.  

The adult male victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.  The striking vehicle remained on scene.   This is an active and ongoing investigation.” We will provide an update if additional information becomes available. Featured image courtesy of Google Maps. 


Per the State of Maryland: Governor Wes Moore today announced more than $11.5 million in federal highway safety grants to organizations across Maryland as part of a statewide focus to prevent motor vehicle crashes and eliminate roadway fatalities. The federal funds will be distributed on Oct. 1 by the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration’s Highway Safety Office to 85 agencies, organizations, and programs.

“These investments are critical to building and maintaining a safe, reliable and efficient transportation system in Maryland,” said Gov. Moore. “Our administration is committed to partnering with local governments, officials and advocacy groups to reduce roadway injuries and fatalities and to ensure that highway safety remains a top priority across the state.”


Per MCPD:  Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged 19-year-old Bill Gomez with auto theft related offenses that occurred over the span of several months in the Rockville and Baltimore areas.  Detectives from the Auto Crime Enforcement Section (ACES) were investigating the rise of Infiniti G37 models being stolen in the county and developed Gomez as a suspect.

The investigation revealed that Gomez was running a pseudo “chop-shop” out of his residence located in the 800 block of Westmore Avenue in Rockville.  Gomez had also obtained Vehicle Identification Numbers from wrecked/salvaged vehicles and placed them onto stolen vehicles to conceal their stolen status.
