The City of Takoma Park Police Department has announced the implementation of a Red-Light Camera Enforcement Program for what the department describes as an effort to enhance traffic safety and reduce the risk of accidents caused by red-light violations. “This initiative aims to deter dangerous driving behavior, improve compliance with traffic signals, and ultimately save lives.”

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K9 section is mourning the loss of K9 Rey. K9 Rey was the current partner to Deputy Buttrey. K9 Rey passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly over the weekend.
