The Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) has named Corporal Robbin St. Clair and Officer Samuel Kim as its latest Officers of the Quarter for their heroic response during a recent medical emergency that saved a resident’s life.
2:24pm Update: MCPD, RCPD, Park Police responded to Rockville High School and determined that it was a swatting call. There is no validity to the report.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared the following information at 1:55pm on Wednesday afternoon. “@MCPS has placed Rockville High School on lockdown following the report of a person with a firearm near the school. RCPD and MCPD are investigating the validity of the report.”
The Rockville City Police Department will host its 2025 open house on Saturday, September 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2 W. Montgomery Ave., offering free, family-friendly activities, station tours, demonstrations, and interactive displays, with a rain date set for Sunday, September 14. (more…)

A 26-year-old Germantown man, Oliver H. Gregg, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after allegedly exposing himself at the Rockville Library and then assaulting a police officer who attempted to place him under arrest.
The Rockvile City Police Department has issued a public safety report after a rabid raccoon was reported on Saturday afternoon.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) reports that during the ninth week of its Summer Traffic Task Force, officers conducted 107 traffic stops resulting in 17 DUI arrests and issued over 300 citations and warnings, with cumulative totals since the initiative began reaching 127 DUI arrests and more than 2,400 total enforcement actions. On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, shortly after 7:00 p.m., Rockville City Police officers responded to Maryvale Park, located in the 800 block of First Street, for a report of an altercation involving a group of juvenile males. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) referred to the incident as a stabbing.
